Ballew chose to go into law enforcement because he knew it was a way to help people and serve our communities. He enjoys being able to meet people and given the chance to mission to the ones that might be low on their faith and don’t know Jesus. He appreciates being part of our county in many ways, such as having the freedom others don’t. “In Oldham county we are fortunate to have opportunities that we wouldn’t get in other places and have the relationship with people in our communities. There is an appreciation between law enforcement and the citizens of Oldham county that are not recognized in other areas of Texas,” stated by Deputy Ballew. “Our Sheriff’s office is unique, we give respect to our inmates that gives them positive energies and demonstrates to them we don’t want to be enemies, we just want to help them.”
Thank you, Chief Deputy Shawn Ballew, for serving Oldham county and the sacrifices you make to keep our people and communities safe!
